Web design in India: how UIUX Studio designs websites that perform
UIUX Studio’s web design work, led from its Mohali office in India, focuses on user experience rather than appearance alone. Services include UX research, UX and UI design, interaction design, usability testing, UI/UX audits and front-end development. Client projects include a UX and UI redesign for Freshminds, a UK talent consultancy with a high bounce rate, and a 50+ screen mobile app for Belvedere, a US SaaS company.
What good web design means
Web design covers how websites look, how they are laid out and, often, how their content is presented. Appearance comes from colour, typography and imagery; layout determines how information is structured and found. Today, designing for mobile screens matters as much as designing for desktops, since many visitors arrive on phones.
The best web design is easy to use, attractive and suited to both its audience and its brand. At UIUX Studio, much of our web design work is led by our team in Mohali, India, alongside colleagues in Dubai, London and Adelaide. We focus on user experience rather than appearance alone, combining usability, search visibility, simplicity and solid technical foundations so websites perform in competitive markets. Our guide to choosing a web design company explains what buyers should look for.
Designing for the user
User experience designers aim to create the best possible experience when people interact with a product, whether a website, an app or a wider service. The central task is understanding users and their behaviour, then designing journeys that let them complete their goals with minimal effort. That is why our web projects begin with research and end with testing, not just visual design.
Our web design process
- Discover: Understand the business, audience, competitors and goals.
- Structure: Plan the sitemap, user journeys and wireframes.
- Design: Create the visual design and interactions, mobile first.
- Test: Check usability with real users and refine.
- Build and launch: Develop responsive front ends, then launch and monitor.
Each step builds on evidence from the one before, so the finished site reflects how people actually use it rather than assumptions about how they might.

The five dimensions of interaction design
| Dimension | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Words (1D) | Text such as button labels that guide users |
| Visuals (2D) | Images, typography and icons |
| Physical space (3D) | The device and input, such as a mouse or touchscreen |
| Time (4D) | Media that changes over time, such as animation, video and sound |
| Behaviour (5D) | How the other four dimensions combine into interactions |
Client project: Freshminds (UK)
Freshminds is a UK-based talent resourcing and consulting firm founded in 2000. Its website was suffering from a high bounce rate, and the goal was to improve the UX and UI of a key web module. Our team analysed the business model, competitors and user experience to create a project roadmap, and stayed in close contact with the client throughout. We used a card-based layout so visitors could understand new information quickly.
- Designed the UX and UI of the web module from scratch
- Created multiple landing pages and infographics
- Unified the mobile and web experience
- Designed business cards and leaflets
- Developed distinctive branding and typography
Client project: Belvedere (USA)
Belvedere Technologies offers a cloud-based business management and booking solution for the beauty, grooming and care industry, available on mobile and desktop. The project was challenging because of its scale. The client had a clear roadmap of must-have, should-have and nice-to-have features, and our team designed the mobile app from scratch around it. After launch, the client reported improvements in subscriptions and memberships and growth in revenue.
- Designed the UI from scratch, with wireframes and prototypes
- Integrated UX and UI across more than 50 screens
- Designed customer and renter screens
- Created the brand logo and app typography
- Delivered front-end development and mobile-responsive design
